Climate Action Competition 🌍
Congratulations to Zahra Mae in 1st class who was awarded 1st prize in the
‘Climate Action’ competition that was run in conjunction with the Louth County Council.
The goal of the competition was to highlight ways that the children could keep our wonderful world ‘Clean and Green’.
The children had some super slogans identifying small ways that we could be more sustainable in our everyday lives.
Zahra Mae painted a fabulous picture of a washing machine and a washing line that even had our class Teddy ‘Benny’ hanging on it.
Her slogan was:
‘It’s a breeze, wash at 30 degrees’. We agreed that this small change was very achievable by every household and it would also help to reduce your electricity bill too!!!
Well done to Zahra Mae and all the boys and girls in 1st class who worked so hard on their entries. Zahra Mae was awarded an Easons voucher worth €50 for achieving 1st place.
Thank you so much to the Louth county council for their very generous prize and for promoting sustainability in our class, home and town.
