We had a very special visitor into First Class today. Mr Owenie Hanratty came in to tell us all about our school in the 1950's. At school there were no computers. If the children were not good they had to stay till 4 O'Clock! Everyone walked to school. Owenie had a wooden pencil case and an inkwell at his school desk. The children loved to see the school bell and had lots of brilliant questions for Owenie. Go raibh maith agat Owenie from the First Class team Mrs Durnin, Mrs Millen and Mrs Keller.
